Snoop Dogg has went from getting the attention of gangstas in the ’90s, to businessmen in the new millennium–so much so, he was tapped to ring the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange.

On Monday, the rapper was a panelist at New York’s Global Entrepreneurship Week, hosted by CNBC’s Maria Bartiromo. The event culminated was part of the 2nd annual “Mentoring Madness,” which focuses on entrepreneurship and youth mentorship.

According to U.S. News & World Report, during the discussion Snoop dropped dimes to the fawning youth in attendance. “If you stop at general math, you’re only going to make general math money,” the rapper, who excelled in calculus during his school years, said.

Snoop rang the stock bell while standing next to TOMS Shoes Founder and Chief Shoe Giver Blake Mycoskie.

The rapper is currently on tour with DJ Quik and Nipsey Hu$$le for the West coast based tour “How The West Was One.” Snoop’s album, Malice N Wonderland, is set to be released Dec. 8. –Linda Hobbs
