Nearly a week after taking home both a Critics Choice Award and Golden Globe, BET host/actress/comedian Mo’Nique has won a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Picking up a statuette for her role as Mary Jones in Precious, Mo’Nique won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role.

Accepting the award Saturday, January 23, Mo’Nique spoke of the role and a special prayer that resulted when the film was complete.

“We left Mary Jones on the floor. When [director] Lee Daniels said that was a wrap, it was,” said Mo’Nique. “What I did take away, from my prayer to the universe, was to never allow me to judge. You never know.”

In related news, Precious won The Stanley Kramer Award at Sunday’s Director’s Guild Awards.
