Stussy And Stones Throw Revive J Dilla

Remarkably, it’s been almost four years since former Slum Village producer J Dilla passed away. To mark the occasion, streetwear company Stussy and underground music label Stones Throw Records are teaming up to release this limited-edition black-and-white T-shirt devoted to the memory of Dilla. The photo (by photographer Raph Rashid) comes from the 2005 book, Behind The Beat: Hip-Hop Home Studios and was taken in the producer’s dining room-turned studio in his Los Angeles home. It’s also licensed through the J Dilla Estate so this thing is guaranteed to be official. Check for over here on February 13.

In other Stussy news, check out this rare interview with graffiti artist Haze at the installation of a Stussy chapter store in Japan recently. Haze and Stussy are collaborating for the Stussy x Haze Spring 2010 Capsule Collection. Here, he discusses getting into the graf game and the impact technology has played on it. —Chris Yuscavage
