Is T.I.’s First Single Better Than Drake’s?

It’s only been three months since T.I. left the pen, but on his just-released street single, “I’m Back,” the Atlanta rapper is spitting bars colder than his old Arkansas jail cell. Boasting a thick and grizzly flow reminiscent of 2004’s Urban Legend, the Trackslayerz-produced cut serves as a pounding podium for Tip to reclaim his sovereignty: “At any moment I decide, that’s enough with all your lies, boy your buzz just died.” Spoken like a true king, but is it more impressionable than a certain Canadian who claims his buzz is big enough to sell a blank disc? —Tracy Garraud
