The Rapper: Ma$e

The Return: Murda Ma$e has actually made more than one return to the rap game. In 1999, he retired after releasing his sophomore album, Double Up, to become a pastor in Atlanta. But he returned in 2004 with the single, “Welcome Back,” featuring a sample from the TV show, “Welcome Back Kotter,” and the album, Welcome Back. After teaming up with G-Unit for a few years before going on another hiatus, he returned again last year to drop the mixtape, I Do The Impossible.

The Reaction: Shiny-suit wearer? Preacher? Gangster? You confuse us, Mase. You really do. And you’re not doing your legacy as a rapper any favors, either.
