The Rapper: Foxy Brown

The Return: Nearly seven years after releasing her gold-selling 2001 album, Broklen Silence, Fox Boogie returned to the game after dealing with a ton of legal issues and a period of temporary deafness to release her 2008 album, Brooklyn’s Don Diva through Koch Records.

The Reaction: Well, let’s see: The comeback album sucked. And because it sucked, Foxy went on the record to say that it wasn’t actually an album, just a “mixtape” to help generate interest in her loooong-awaited fourth studio album, Black Roses. Whatev. Call it what you want: It still sucked.
