Macy Gray Goes Green In NYC

In celebration of Earth Month, Macy Gray was tapped to headline an awareness concert at Webster Hall in New York City.  Sponsored by Origins Earth Initiatives, the show was put on to support programs that help to sustain the planet. Aside from bringing awareness to the eco-friendly cause, the event also gave Macy a chance to perform new material from her forthcoming album, The Sell Out. This album will mark Macy’s return to her raspy voiced, gritty style of singing that brought her to fame several moons ago. Before making her exit, Macy labeled the audience as her guinea pigs, and without giving the record a title jumped into a brand spankin’ new number. —Mikey Fresh
