So, you think you can dance?

Award-winning dancer Jaycee Gossett can—and tonight on the Travel Channel’s Dance the World, she’s going to prove it by taking a trip to Brazil to learn more about the roots of the Samba dance that originated in the country. The one-hour special will feature Gossett learning Samba from several dance instructors in the city of Salvador, Brazil. And after learning how to properly execute the Samba, she will take her talents to Carnival—one of the biggest parties on the planet!—to show off her skills in front of an audience of approximately three million people.

But before you settle in to learn more about the Samba, it’s important for you to know exactly what you’re getting into. So check out the videos below that feature folks doing the samba in both Brazil and the United States, peep Gossett’s Facebook page, and then make sure you’re tuned into Dance the World tonight at 10PM/EST to see the Samba in action. If you think you can dance, you don’t want to miss it.
