Trend Alert: Weddings on Steroids
Most women tend to create their fantasy wedding in their head since being able to talk. Its no secret that weddings are more important to women. Some women are wired to find the man they want to settle down with. Men on the other hand… not so much.
Women go into their marriage ceremony understanding what they want, when they want it and how they want it. Most of them, if not all, have imagined every detail of their wedding — like what the bridesmaids will be wearing, the wedding theme and even what type of cake will be served.
We tend to put ceremony and pompous before important issues. Somehow we’ve started to think you just can’t have a simple wedding. But with celebrities getting married two times within a year span, I’m left wondering how important is the size of the wedding ceremony?
Maybe weddings have never been simple.
After getting engaged in October, Monica and Shannon Brown married in a secret ceremony at their Los Angeles home a month later. The Grammy-winning singer, 30, and L.A. Lakers star, 25, tied the knot for the second time. The couple celebrated their union in a lavish ceremony in Los Angeles over the weekend.
Now rumors are circulating around Miami Heat star Chris Bosh and Adrienne Williams. The two were married about three months ago but now the two are looking to plan a more lavish wedding inviting more family and friends. It is reported that the couple plans on spending $300,000 for their second ceremony.
With an unlimited amount of cash flow, celebrities will never have a hard time impressing people with their wedding ceremony. If you try to impress people by having a fancy wedding, you’ll find yourself in a lot of fiscal trouble. You can spend as much or as little as you want on your wedding but the idea is to create a memorable occasion that will carry you into a happy marriage. Imagine how far a wedding goes, after a few days everyone will forget and move on. When planning a wedding, the focus should be on the bride and groom. When the vows are said, exchanged and done, it’s you and him til’ death do us part.
