5. Give your body what it needs (and not always what it wants)

And while desserts and comfort foods may be all-too-tempting around this time of year (trust us, ladies, we know), sometimes it’s better to trade in those holiday treats for a piece of fruit every now and then. Sure, it may not be as mollifying to your mouth as that leftover pumpkin loaf, but it is a good way to intake some of those crucial vitamins and add a little oomph to your vitality levels.
6. Work out, and do it in the morning
A morning workout is the perfect pep to your step to keep you active throughout the day (and therefore burning extra calories!). Once you’re done hitting the snooze button a few times too many, get yourself out of bed, lace up your sneakers, and get your blood pumping! By the time you begin to cool down and get your stretch on, you’ll be ready to leave your bed behind and take on the rest of your day.
