Amy Winehouse Posthumous Album “Lioness” To Release In December
Amy Winehouse has not been forgotten by fans, and in honor of her musical offerings, a collection of unreleased tracks will be released this December. The Lioness: Hidden Treasures will be composed of 12 tracks, some of which she further tells of her ex-hubby Blake Fielder-Civil’s infidelities. As we all know, the jazzy vocalist was a troubled soul unafraid to speak on the depths of dark times in her personal life. That much is to be even more expected with this upcoming release. Rapper and the singer’s close pal Nas should be making an appearance on a track “Like Smoke,” reportedly recorded back in 2008.
After listening to the material in a West London studio, Amy’s father says, “I spent so much time chasing after Amy — telling her off — that I never realised what a true genius she was.”
Indeed she was. After releasing timeless music that many can relate to via Back To Black and Frank, it’s almost certain this next album should tow the same line.
Will you be buying the album later this year?
