Nicki Minaj Explains Her Fear Of Sex
When you look at rapper Nicki Minaj or simply listen to her lyrics, the last thought to cross your mind is that this sexually liberated woman was once scared of sex. Recently the Harajuku Barbie revealed some intimate and shocking details about her life growing up.
According to Nicki, she wasn’t always the sexually explosive person you see on stage:
“When I was younger, I felt like I had been taught that pre-marital sex was bad, and so I always felt like if I had pre-marital sex I would go to hell. So when I did, I really felt like…I really went through years of trying to make myself feel comfortable. Like, ‘OK, I’m not going to hell.'”
She also opened up about her parent’s tumultuous relationship and witnessing domestic violence:
“My mother left my dad many different times and came back. He would beg, cry, stalk us… One time, he pulled my mother out of a car and dragged her for two blocks. Anywhere my mother and I were, I made sure the door was locked, because that was my only way to protect her.”
Glad to see that Nicki was able to rise above the turmoil in her home, and I’m sure there are more than a few male fans out there glad she got over her fear of sex.
