Real Housewives of Atlanta Recap: When Does Trash Talking Go Too Far?
This season on Real Housewives of Atlanta seems like it’s going to be all about Team NeNe vs. Team Shereé. This week’s episode featured Kandi and the two coming together in the same vicinity for the first time since their huge blowout at Kandi’s 35th birthday party.
For the first half of the episode, Kandi plays the middle man to keep the peace before she reveals to each girl that they will have to see one another. I’m actually happy that Kandi stood up for herself for her day, I admire the fact that she let both ladies know the deal and whether they liked it or not they were going to see one another or simply not come. She breaks the news to Sheree first while looking for a venue to have her party. Sheree’s response was to, “Keep that bitch on the other side.”
When Kandi broke the news to NeNe, she told cameras “When you are as lowdown and dirty as Sheree was, you do not deserve the friendship of NeNe Leakes.” While the back and forth high school trash talking between the two is good for TV, is it really benefiting them in real life?
When the day of the birthday party finally arrives, NeNe is last to arrive and, as usual, walks in like she’s the HBIC. The party is overall awkward because the group was divided while Kandi continues to play her middle man role. NeNe even starts to say “I Can’t ” with Sheree. Luckily the awkwardness is brought to a halt when Phaedra brings in a surprise stripper who does some uncensored things that make NeNe storm out of the party.
