Beastie Boys to Be Inducted Into Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame

The Rock n’ Roll Hallf of Fame has decided to welcome more hip-hop into it’s esteemed club. Group members Mike D (Michael Diamond), MCA (Adam Yauch) and Ad-Rock (Adam Horowitz) will join a Hall of Fame class of 2012 that includes the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Guns N Roses.

Throughout their career the Beasties have sold more than 40 million copies worldwide with such hits as “Fight for Your Right (To Party),” “No Sleep ‘Til Brooklyn” and “Sabotoage.” They’ve have released 12 albums as a group and helped bring pioneering hip-hop record label Def Jam to prominence

The ceremony will be held next April at the Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
