It’s unfortunate that emerging singer Alori Joh’s journey ended before it could really begin. It has been reported that the vocalist, known for her staple contributions to Top Dawg affiliated projects, has passed at 25 years old.
Details of the cause of her passing have yet to surface, but friends and family have expressed their sorrows of her untimely passing via Twitter.
@SchoolBoyQ Smoking one for alori JoH…………. peace Homie
@JayRock Woke up too some bad news r.i.p Alori Joh still can’t believe this…..
Alori’s vocals were airy and blissful–she was featured on songs such as Kendrick Lamar’s epic single “Hiiipower,” SchoolBoy Q’s “Phenomenon” and a AB-Soul’s “Euphoria.” Alori’s collaborations with the label rooted from her close friendship with AB-Soul, whom she began working with musically since their teen years.
In one of her last interviews, the songbird expressed she was working on new music and looking to release a new project of her own.
Rest in peace Alori. –Jolie Sanchez
