Trey Songz Talks to The Breakfast Club on Not Making Pop Records on ‘V,’ BK Robbery Rumors and Trayvon Martin
The Breakfast Club crew sits down with Trey Songz for their latest trip-through-the-ringer on Power 105.1. They speak with the R&B heartthrob about his new album V, which he assures won’t be transcending into the pop genre.
“The success of a crossover I think we all want to attain, but the route to get there is what’s important to me. I’m always going to be a staple in R&B.”
The star also shuts down rumors of getting robbed in Brooklyn and speaks passionately about his concerns regarding the Trayvon Martin shooting and recent violence becoming a fad.
“It’s a month later and justice still hasn’t been served. This shouldn’t even be allowed in this country. It’s up to us to not only take a stand but continue to take a stand…be committed to it and not next month, forget about it.”
