Bobby Brown Defends Daughter, Bobbi Kristina Walks Off Set in Tears
After her mother’s death, it seems Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina has been followed by negative controversy. However, her father Bobby Brown knows that his “baby girl” is better than that.
“Any parent that has a teenager in their life, they go through things. They go through phases that they might not be doing exactly what you want them to do in life, but they grow out of it, and my baby girl has grown out of it,” the “My Prerogative” singer/rapper told MTV News. “I trust and believe that she’s smart enough to not go down the same road that maybe I did in the past or her mother did in the past. She’s extremely smart.”
He denied any loss of love between him and his daughter, despite rumors that Bobbi wanted to change her last name. “She can’t change her last name, her name is her name. She’ll forever be known as Bobbi Kristina Brown. There’s no changing that, there’s no taking that back,” Brown said.
After making a heartfelt appearance at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, Bobbi Kristina was reportedly inching her way back into the spotlight with a new Lifetime reality series with her family “The Houston Family Chronicles” and a stint on “Tyler Perry’s For Better Or Worse.”
Sources told Radar that the 19-year-old made a swift exit off set in tears Wednesday. “Bobbi Kristina had a private breakdown and barely anyone saw it,” the source said. “She was crying and said she needed a minute, she needed a break to get herself together. But then she decided she couldn’t handle doing the show right now. She’s still mourning her mom.”
Time can only heal.
