Talk about a bad case of popping bottles.

A 26-year-old California woman was arrested for allegedly mixing booze with her five-month-old daughter’s baby formula then feeding it to her by mistake.

According to Fox 40, Iesha Hill was arrested on child abuse charges. Her mother, Tressie Piggee, says that they accidentally used a water bottle filled with Bacardi to make baby formula. She also feels her daughter should not be taken into custody for not knowing any better.

“I feel that her mother should be here. I don’t feel that she should have been arrested because it was an accident,” Piggee said.

Once the baby was brought to the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, medical staff called police.

“A 5-month-old baby ingesting any amount of alcohol, that’s definitely a serious situation which has to be dealt with immediately,” said Officer Joe Silva of the Stockton Police Department.

Fortunately, the little girl is on her way to a speedy recovery while her mom is due in court Tuesday.
