Dallas Maverick guard, Vince Carter, plans to host a private dinner in support of President Barack Obama’s “Victory Fund” during NBA’s 2013 All-Star Weekend.

According to Orlando, Fla’s News 13, the event, which is scheduled for February 23rd, will be held at Carter’s Central Florida home.

The report further states several NBA notables who plan to be in Florida during that time, have already confirmed their attendance to the dinner.

Attorney John Morgan, who is the event’s organizer, shared President Obama’s excitement to attend Carter’s fundraiser.

“[President Obama] really enjoys this type of event and he enjoys basketball,” Morgan told News 13. “His schedule is very tight to be coming back two months, three months later, usually doesn’t happen.”

Attendance into the dinner costs $30 thousand a plate and will benefit the Obama Victory Fund and Democratic National Party.
