VIBE’s Daily Additions to the ‘Pod

1. Beanie Sigel (feat. State Property) – “The Reunion”
The crew is definitely back. Beans, Freeway, Young Chris, Peedi, Omillio Sparks—everybody! The beat is giving us that Kanye circa 2005 vibe, and the flow is classic State Prop. We’re feeling it.

2. RZA – “Blowin’ In The Wind”
Can we get a “Wu-Tang! Wu-Tang!” chant real quick? That’s all we want to do after hearing this. There’s a “Triumph” feel to this one, which definitely isn’t a bad thing.

3. Vybz Kartel (feat. Action Bronson) – “Money (Remix)”
New York rap & reggae riddims? Who would’ve though such a fusion could be so dope?

4. 8Ball (feat. 2 Chainz) – “Don’t Bring Me Down”
There’s a lot going on—and a lot to like—in the production on this track. 8Ball & 2Chainz don’t sound bad, but you’ll find yourself knocking to the beat more than the verses or the sing-along chorus.

5. The Fight Of My Life Colin Munroe (feat. Pusha T) — “The Fight Of My Life (Zeds Dead Remix)”
From the lengthy intro, you’d expect this to go into something crazy & fresh. However, after the lead-up it turns out being just another dubstep beat. The genre itself is tricky, being that a lot of the beats sounds identical. There has to be a formula where you mix it up enough so the song stands out. This remix right here slightly falls short.
