Before The Dark Knight Rises ever hit theaters, every member of the cast was sworn to secrecy when it came to discussing plot points. Now, since the film is out (and doing superbly well, we might add), and is part of the public conscious, John Blake, aka Joseph Gordon-Levitt has broken his vow and revealed his thoughts on the Christopher Nolan-directed series.

Making an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Gordon-Levitt not only talked about the ending, he also talked about the future of the franchise. As you can see in the clip below, Joseph answers these questions straight up, but honestly are you surprised by the answers? For those who have seen the movie, you would hope for more, right? A chance to possibly see Blake reemerge as Nightwing or even as a rookie Robin trying to find his footing in a Gotham without the Bat.

Yet, from the horse’s mouth to our ears, the symbolic, heroic nature of Batman truly found his ending with Christopher Nolan’s finale to the acclaimed trilogy. No matter what, his inclusion in the summer blockbuster makes The Dark Knight Rises and his appearance in it one of the best things in movie history.
