Officials are investigating a blaze at Tyler Perry’s Atlanta studios, the second fire in the past four months at the complex.
Tyler Perry’s film studios in Atlanta have been hit by a fire, the second incident which has baffled staff members and authorities, alike. The fire was reported just before 11 a.m. Monday and there were no reports of injuries. Authorities say the fire was contained to the roof, which had been undergoing repairs at the time of the blaze.
Back in May, more than 100 firefighters battled a blaze that ripped through a simulated streetscape at the studios, sending flames about six stories into the sky. Atlanta Fire Chief Kelvin J. Cochran has said the cause of the fire from May would be recorded as undetermined. Cochran said the intensity of the blaze consumed any evidence that would lead to a cause of ignition.
Meanwhile, authorities are conducting investigations to the latest fiery incident at Tyler Perry’s film studios. The Hollywood producer has yet to comment on the incident.
