VIBE’s Daily Additions to the ‘Pod

1. Slaughterhouse (feat. Eminem & Skylar Grey) – “Our House”
“Our House” is a bit more dreary than their previous recent releases. However, the lyrical content is so real, that it’s probably better you really listen to this one & take it in as opposed to trying to jam to it.

2. Consequence (feat. John Legend) – “Why Do I Even Go Home”
Rappers have such a dope way of conveying “love lost” and the bitter situations you can go through in the process of heartbreak. Shoutout to Cons for nailing it.

3. RZA & Boy Jones – “Just Can’t Get It Right”
This ill beat is 100% RZA—especially down to that distorted mariachi sample that would’ve fit perfectly into Kill Bill Vol. 2. Definitely a great Wu Wednesday release.

4. Styles P (feat. Trae The Truth & Fred The Godson) – “Throw Down”
It’s cool that these guys tend to work together. Their flows are on the same level, and they consistently bring us cuts that are made for the streets. From the beat to the verses, this one is mad rugged—and that’s exactly what we want to hear from them.

5. Ras Kass – “Sushi”
When we’re still getting tracks like these, it’s hard to say hip hop is dead. Ignored or overlooked, maybe. Dead, never—and Ras Kass gives us an example of why it never will be.
