VIBE’s Daily Additions to the ‘Pod

1. Will.I.Am – “Reach For The Stars”
From the start, it’s kind of hard to see where Will-I-Am is going with this song. “Reach For The Stars” feels like one big build-up, in the sense that it’s right about to start but never does. Overall, this isn’t proper first single material. Prelude? Sure. Actual intro? Definitely. Lead single? Nah man.

2. Skeme (feat. Schoolboy Q) – “Kidz With Gunz”
This is yet another dope track associated with the TDE fam. The beat, produced by THC, is really dope stuff. Both Skeme & Q go in over it too.

3. Tamia – “Give Me You”
This is definitely a voice that’s been missed in soul music. Even though the subject matter of “Give Me You” is typical R&B drama, Tamia’s vocals make the song a pleasurable listen for fans of the genre.

4. Bishop Lamont & Sneakas – “That’s What She Said”
This has a throwback hip-hop steez to it, all the way down to the quick “Award Tour” interpolation. The fun, jokester nature makes this a pretty chill tune.

5. I/O – “You Slay Me”
Don’t be surprised by the uncontrollable sway you’re currently feeling in your body while listening to this song. A little bit trance, a lot of great instrumentals, and some pretty smooth vocals make up this surprising R&B gem. We’ll be on a lookout for this dude for sure.
