Ashanti is a multiplatinum, Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter—and now she can add “on-air anchor” to her resume.

Premiering as the new anchor of Fuse News, the singer interviewed Lupe Fiasco about the inspiration behind his newly released album, Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1.

The album’s cover art and artwork is completely pitch black. “One of the main reasons why I did [an all black album cover] was a song called ‘Man In Black,’ written by the late, great Johnny Cash,” explained the Chicago rapper. He continued by adding, “I wanted [the fans] to have something to cherish—like, this is kinda history right here.”
