“Homeland,” “Modern Family” & Louis C.K. Win Big at 2012 Emmys

It was a good night for the Showtime drama Homeland and ABC’s Modern Family. Both TV shows took home four awards each at the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, sweeping their respective fields. Homeland took home trophies for Lead Actress in Drama Series (Claire Danes), Lead Actor in Drama Series (Damian Lewis), Writing in a Drama Series (Alex Gansa, Howard Gordon, Gideon Raff) and for Best Drama. Modern Family took home gold for Best Comedy Series, Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (Eric Stonestreet), Supporting Actress in Comedy Series (Julie Bowen) and Directing in a Comedy Series (Steven Levitan). Live at the Beacon Theatre.
