The NFL has called foul on its coaches.

According to NBC Sports, the league has issued a memo to its team heads to stop bullying replacement refs. In the rough-and-tumble sport that is football, the NFL is trying to limit the heady reactions from coaches often fueled by less than favorable calls.

One coach who prompted the memo was 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh, who was was quietly fined for his “headache” comments about the officials during the preseason, reports.

The memo comes after ref Brian Stropolo was pulled from officiating the New Orleans Saints game against the Carolina Panthers after allegedly playing favorites. The New Orleans-bred official had posted Facebook pictures of him tailgating at a Saints game in August, with comments from Facebook users asking him to “be nice with those yellow flags for our Saints!””
