V Exclusive! T.I. Joins The Cast Of Kelsey Grammer’s “Boss”
Could T.I. be giving up the M-I-C for the TV screen?!
In creator Farhad Safinia’s politico-drama, Boss, the professional world of politics gets its own twist with Kelsey Grammer leading the charge, as Tom Kane, the mayor of Chicago, who has recently been diagnosed with a degenerative neurological disorder.
The series garnered healthy praise for strong script, diverse characters, and interesting plot developments. After Grammer took home a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor — Television Series Drama, the show looks to up the ante by adding Grand Hustle CEO Clifford “T.I.” Harris to the second season cast. As it gets underway, Tha Kang will play Trey Rogers, a former gangbanger with designs on a career in City Hall. He is the cousin that Darius (played by singer-songwriter Rotimi) turns to when struggling with his love for Emma (Hannah Ware), Mayor Tom Kane’s daughter, and he is the conduit between a local Alderman and the gang that is powerful enough to function as a grassroots organization in the projects.
In the clip, which you can below, T.I. makes a brief but impacting appearance during a tense scene between Mona Fredricks (Sanaa Lathan), Kane’s new chief of staff and Alderman William Ross (James Vincent Meredith).
This clip is from episode 204 which airs on Friday, September 7th at 9pm ET/PT on Starz.
