As of today, Instagram has updated its privacy in a way that further solidifies its partnership with Facebook. The changes, which will be effective January 16, will prep the app for the inevitable slew of advertisements headed their way.

Also, the two entities have made it easier to share information between the two groups. According to Instagram, these changes will make it easier to control spam.
