CBS’ hilarious sitcom “Big Bang Theory” lived up to its name by topping two records with its first episode of 2013.

Not only did the show–which depicts the lives of 4 genius males and their single girl friend–bring in 19.25 million viewers, it beat its own best in the adults aged 18-49 demographic, THR reports.

While there isn’t much competition for the comedy that airs every Thursday, this has been a stellar season for the cast. “Big Bang Theory” previously set a record with 17.63 million total viewers for its recent Nov. 15 episode.

Its 8:30 follow-up “Two and a Half Men”was also up, climbing 12 percent, grabbing 15.4 million total viewers while “Person of Interest” at 9 jumped 17 percent and drew 16.1 million total viewers.
