Lena Dunham Talks Chrianna Union: “It Cracks My Heart In Half”
Golden Globe winner Lena Dunham may play a bereft character on Girls, but she knows how to speak her mind in real life. She’s the latest to join a long list of celebs taking issue with Rihanna and Chris Brown’s rekindled relationship. Although the two claim it’s “nobody’s business,” they can’t seem to escape the constant commentary surrounding their PDA-filled and Instagram-documented union.
In an interview with 30 Rock’s Alec Baldwin on his podcast “Here’s the Thing,” Lena says she “used to be really into” the Bajan beauty but was ultimately turned off by her choice to reconcile with Chris. “[Being a role model] is amazing. It’s an amazing thing,” she says. “I used to be really into Rihanna, that pop star, and then it’s like, again, I don’t want to ever throw stones from my glass house, but I follow her on Instagram and I just think about how many little girls beyond what I could even comprehend are obsessed with Rihanna.”
She goes on to say, “She’s talented. And then she gets back together with Chris Brown and posts a million pictures of them smoking marijuana together on a bed. And it cracks my heart in half in a way that makes me feel like I’m 95 years old.”
Rihanna has stated multiple times that she has no interest in being a role model. However, you can’t help but think twice about Lena’s comments. In the never-ending saga that is Chrianna, what do you think, Vixens?
