Good news for Ja Rule: He’s served the majority of his two-year prison sentence on weapons charges. Not so great news: It’s not over yet.

Early this morning (Feb. 21), Ja was relocated from New York’s Mid-State Correctional Facility and taken into federal custody for his tax-related sentence, the Associated Press reports.

Where Ja will spend the remainder of his time remains unknown. Defense attorney Stacey Richman says he could end up in a halfway house, where he’d serve less than six months.

Illegal gun possession landed the Queens rapper, 36, behind bars in June 2011. On top of that, he was sentenced to 28 concurrent months for tax evasion.

He still has to shell out $1.1 million in back taxes, so expect to see a whole lot of Ja once he’s officially released.
