VIBE’s Daily Additions to the ‘Pod

1. Mister Cee’s Best Of Tuesdays Mix (J Dilla Edition)
Cee managed to grab some of the illest Dilla productions & mix them flawlessly. From starting with Erykah Badu’s “Didn’t Cha Know” to ending with Q-Tip’s “Move,” this mix is an instant classic. R.I.P. Dilla.

2. Consequence (feat. Mysonne & Jae Millz) – “Going Thru Withdrawal”
Drug metaphors aren’t new to hip-hop, but the wordplay in “Going Thru Withdrawal” is pretty fresh. Mysonne bodied this lyrically.

3. Iggy Azalea – “Work”
This hip-hop party jam makes us wonder what type of sound Iggy’s going for on her debut, The New Classic. Definitely not a bad start though.

4. Skyzoo – “Floor Seats With Young”
Sky gets mad respect for taking the art of Jazz and making a dope hip-hop song out of it. The dude is just nice with it.

5. Ducko McFli – Ratchet Life, Sophisticated Dreams (Album)
Greedmont Park & P.U.S.H. presents Ducko McFlii’s—hailing from Nashville—fresh project. With appearances by the likes of ForteBowie & the eclectic Trinidad Jame$, Ducko makes a cohesive body of work without sounding repetitive. Standouts include “Cruisin” and the closing track “Forever.”
