Kobe’s New Nickname Is Vintage

Kobe Bryant just gets better with age – so Kobe’s new nickname makes sense!

Kobe tweeted this weekend that his new nickname is “Vino,” as in the Italian word for wine. Bryant spent a portion of his childhood in Italy and still speaks the language fluently, so it makes sense that he would pick a Euro-inspired name.

This wouldn’t be the first time Kobe’s new nickname has originated with the man himself. Bryant basically invented the “Black Mamba” moniker, although he’ll never approach former teammate Shaquille O’Neal’s abundance of self-given nicknames.

What do you think of Kobe’s new nickname?
