New Music: Destructo ‘Deep Mix’

| March 8, 2013 - 4:54 pm

DJ, A&R wiz, promoter, head banger, and all-around badass, Gary Richards’s alias isn’t ‘Destructo’ for nothing. Since starting out in LA’s early ’90s rave scene, Destructo (equally devoted to both Daft Punk and Black Sabbath) has worked with Lords of Acid, Basement Jaxx, and Dub Pistols; launched seminal labels 1500 Records and Nitrus; and developed the HARD festival events and Holy Ship! cruises.

MTV Clubland recently premiered an episode of highlights from this past January’s cruise featuring A-Trak, Diplo, Major Lazer and Skrillex; and tickets for the 2014 cruise that sold out within minutes. If all that’s not enough to whet your techno-hungry appetite, Destructo just dropped a Deep Mix on Soundcloud as a warm up to his gigs at the Snowball Festival in Denver (March 10) and Winter Music Conference (March 20-22).
