Nude Beach Shut Down
Beachgoers in Madison, Wisconsin, won’t be able to bare it all on the sand, at least during the weekday. A new rule implemented on Tuesday (Mar. 19) now prohibits sunbathers from using a popular nude beach from Monday through Friday.
The Washington Post reports that the rule was enacted due to issues with drugs and sex in areas surrounding the public beach on the Wisconsin River near Mazomanie.
The beach has attracted skin-barers for years and become a go-to destination. On top of losing their clothes, however, some individuals have strayed into the nearby woods for sexual and drug activity, which has officials in a tizzy.
Nudists can still wild out on the weekends, but the state Department of Natural Resources said the beach will be shut down to the public on weekdays.
