If TMZ brought the ugly out of you when it announced Lil’ Wayne’s last rites, then reality TV fans are going to crawl up a wall when they hear about this!

The popular VH1 “celebreality” show Real Chance of Love was a boon for the network and helped to prove that there was a healthy market for reality TV content. The show, which starred brother Real and Chance (I Love New York), made household names out of the dynamic duo.

Unfortunately, TMZ has learned that Real, whose real name is Ahmad Givens, is being treated at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Beverly Hills after doctors diagnosed him with stage four colon cancer.

According to the website, Givens first complained of “flu-like symptoms” back in January, believing he was sick and exhausted. After him and his brother went back-and-forth from the hospital, at least four times, the doctors finally had a result in the diagnosis. Last week, they informed the Givens that it was stage four colon cancer.

At that mark, the cancer that has infected the body has already begun to spread to other parts of the body. The rapper-turned-reality-star will remain hospital at least until his physicians can figure out how they plan to combat the cancer. Our prayers here go out to the Givens family, friends, and those who generally like the guy.

We’ll keep you posted as more develops.
