Macklemore has come a long way since the thrift shop.

The Seattle rapper and producer Ryan Lewis hit Saturday Night Live this weekend to add another milestone to what is turning out to be an incredible 2013 for the duo. After releasing their album The Heist independently last October, they’ve seen it rise to the top of the charts. It peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, and currently dominates the Rap Album and Rap Songs chart, thanks its catchy “Thrift Shop” narrative which has gone double platinum and has been the No. 1 song on iTunes and the Billboard Hot 100 in recent weeks.

Macklemore, Lewis and their band hit the SNL stage to perform the song that’s making them a household name, as well as “Can’t Hold Us” with crooner Ray Dalton.
