After playing hooky, 11-year-old Woody (played by Michael Rainey Jr.) gets his first lesson in manhood from his ex-convict uncle Vincent (Common).

In the coming-of-age flick LUV, directed by Sheldon Candis, Woody goes on a reality trip that changes his perception of his flawed role model.

While riding through the gritty streets of Baltimore, Vincent shows his nephew what it takes to be a man. Watch a clip from the movie above.

LUV hits stores on DVD April 2.

VIBE will also be doing a special web series with Common this month to celebrate the release of LUV. Stay tuned!
