Marc Webb has been keeping us cinephiles up to date with the latest and greatest from the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Now, thanks to his Twitter Feed, we’re getting our first official look at two principle characters in the plot.

The first real look at Foxx’s alter-ego appearance in the movie, along with actor of Dane DeHaan, are the subject of today’s talk. The picture of Foxx as Max Dillon is particularly interesting, as director Marc Webb envisions the pre-Electro character much like his comic book archetype. Dillon is very much a quiet, downtrodden, nerdy type within OsCorp, who, in the books, was overlooked by bosses and ignored by almost everyone save for Peter Parker.

Dillon becomes a bit obsessed with the idea of working with Spider-Man, and you can sense that this will be the source of his animosity when he has his electrical mishap and develops powers of his own.

As for DeHan, he will be playing Norman’s Os-spawn son Harry, and doesn’t need to wear or look particular in this image. He does seem to emote the moodiness that you would come to expect from the tech-prince of the Osborn lineage. Andrew Garfield stars as the world’s favorite neighborhood spider alongside Emma Stone, Paul Giamatti, Sally Field, Colm Feore and Martin Sheen. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is shooting right now in New York and will be out on April 18 next year.
