Flying Lotus To Expirement With Jazz On New Album
Last year, production hero Flying Lotus released his fourth studio album Until The Quiet Comes, which caught VIBE’s attention and placed on our Top 50 Electronic Albums charts. The grandson of the late Alice and John Coltrane recently took to Twitter and announced that his new album would veer from the electronic jazz sounds he’s known for employing. The project will include some “hard cosmic experimental jazz and not that cocktail lounge shit.” Both Flying Lotus and bassist Thundercat have recently hit the road for an eighteen city tour, which will be capped off with the release of Apocalypse, the duo’s upcoming collaborative album. We’ll be waiting.
We are making this new fusion album now. Some hard cosmic experimental jazz.not that cocktail lounge shit u been hearing lately.
