After sampling their song “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” for his 2007 single “Stronger,” Kanye West has tapped Daft Punk for his upcoming album.

Details about the album are still very scarce but according to HotNewHipHop, the French electronic duo claim they met with Kanye at a recording studio in Paris where they “worked out rough vocals” and “laid down a combination of live and programmed drums.”

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Daft Punk went on to say that Kanye’s approach during the session was “very raw,” and that “he was rapping – kind of screaming primally, actually.” The recording session produced two new songs, but no word on whether they will actually make the cut. “One of them, I told him [Kanye] it sounded solid and powerful – I envisioned a cube when I heard it… He told me Chris Cunningham’s already directing the video!”

It looks like this new, and still untitled Kanye West album could be dropping a little sooner than expected. Ye seems to be in his zone, and you know what that means!
