Scooter Braun Says Nicki Minaj ‘Killed The Verse’ On Carly Rae Jepsen Collaboration

Looks like callback enthusiast Carly Rae Jepsen has tapped Nicki Minaj for a duet about getting over the opposite sex.

In the “Call Me Maybe” songbird’s follow-up track “Tonight I’m Getting Over You,” Jepsen/ Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun assures that the take two with Minaj’s add-on is fire.

“I was just listening to it on my phone,” Braun told MTV News. “You’ll hear it very, very soon. And Nicki killed the verse, and it’s great.”

He says the girlie bonding may have added to the pop tart pot of gold. “When Carly Rae and Nicki get together, they make songs about getting over guys,” he said. “Whenever girls do songs about getting over men, they seem to do really well.”

Nothing like two beauties and a beat to save Jepsen from the ill fate of a one hit wonder. Braun tweeted that the song hits airwaves this week.
