TV Anchor Says He’s Fired After Cursing On-Air
A weekend TV news anchor who was suspended after cursing his first day on the job now says he’s fired. AJ Clemente took to Twitter to say that KFYR-TV of Bismarck in North Dakota has given him the ax after he said “fucking shit” on-air during an evening broadcast. The station posted an apology on their website and co-anchorwoman Van Tieu also apologized during the 10 p.m. newscast, saying, “We do apologize and hope that you may forgive us and rest assured, that something like this will not happen again.” The news clip went viral as the hashtag “Keep AJ” began trending on the social site.
Unfortunately KFYRTV has decided to let me go. Thank you to them and everyone in ND for the opportunity and everyone for the support.
