Exclusive: Kendrick Lamar Set To Perform At BET Awards 2013

After raking in eight nominations at this year’s BET Awards, Kendrick Lamar is set to take the stage at the Nokia Theater on June 30th at 8pm ET/PT.

Following the release of his highly-praised debut good kid, m.A.A.d. city, the Compton MC continues his banner year with some of the night’s highest nods including Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Best Video for the A$AP Rocky-helmed posse cut “Problems” and Best New Artist.

Before the main event, fans can flock to a special three-day pre-party at the BET Experience at L.A. Live that kicks off June 28th. Festivities include celebrity panels, seminars, basketball games and fun events followed by a concert series comprised of today’s biggest up-and-comers on the Music Matters stage, hosted by television personality Buttahman, comedian/ actress Vanessa Fraction and blogger Lowkey. 106 & Park’s very own DJ LYVW will be mastering the turntables.
