Kanye West Gives Up New Song ‘Onsite’ at Governors Ball (VIDEO)
Kanye West had the honor of closing out the 2013 Governors Ball held on New York City’s Randall’s Island over the weekend. West’s Sunday (June 9) night set went off without a hitch, even with the 36-year-old rapper performing songs from the middle of the muddy festival crowd. (The fest was shut down on Friday due to heavy rain and high winds.)
With the release of West’s sixth studio album, Yeezus, only nine days away, it was expected the 21x Grammy winner would turn out some new tunes during his Governors Ball set. And, Yeezus delivered. He performed his primal “Black Skinhead,” and the wall-loving track “New Slaves.” He revisted “I Am (A) God” which was first unleashed at the 2013 Met Gala, and performed his usual mid-set soliloquy.
He also debuted the electro house cut “Onsite.”
“Let me show you right now till you give it up,” Yeezy raps on the tentatively titled track. Watch below. Yeezus is out June 18.
