Marc Jacobs to Launch Beauty Line With Sephora in August
Through the years Marc Jacobs has filled our closets with beautiful handbags, shoes and clothing. But, now the fashion designer is hoping to fill our cosmetic bags with a line of makeup set to debut on August 9.
The designer recently collaborated with Sephora to create Marc Jacobs Beauty, a cosmetics collection offering 122 products. In January we reported the collaboration, but now there’s more details. The line includes four categories: Smart Complexion (foundations, concealer, and powder), Blacquer (eye pen eyeliner, lash lifter, and gel crayon), Hi-Per Color (lip products, blush, eye shadow, bronzer, and nail lacquer), and Boy Tested, Girl Approved (lip balm, brow gel, and concealer).
“We spent a lot of time developing materials and choosing the colors,” Jacobs told WWD. “We work with the technicians at the mills to achieve a certain effect, so we did the same thing with Sephora. The color palette tells a story and that story is based on a spirit. I chose different types of characters, such as an ingénue.”
The collection ranges from $24 (lip balm) to $59 (eye shadow palette) and hits Sephora stores and select Marc Jacobs stores this summer. Jump the page to take a look at the collection.
