A boat carrying Destiny’s Child singer and X Factor judge Kelly Rowland and four others was rescued off Cape Cod on Friday, July 19.

The group had set sail from Provincetown, Mass. for a private whale watching day trip when their vessel got lost near the Stellwagen National Marine Sanctuary. Up to 30 mph winds and high seas left the group disorientated and led them to call the Coast Guard for help. A towboat pulled them safely back to shore around 10:30PM.

“All were wet and tired — and probably seasick — but otherwise unharmed,” reported the area paper Wicked Local.

Rowland dropped her latest album, Talk a Good Game on June 14. It includes the singles “Kisses Down Low” and “Dirty Laundry.” She is currently in between filming Season 3 of The X Factor and shows behind her new solo effort. She plays the Extraco Events Center in Waco, Texas on Aug. 17.
