Former NL MVP Ryan Braun has been suspended for the rest of the 2013 season after admitting to using performance enhancing drugs.

The Brewers’ left fielder was nearly suspended back in February of last season, but was able to successfully appeal a PED suspension on a technicality. Now, Braun has admitted to using steroids after his name was attached the Biogenesis Lab scandal earlier this year.

According to Sports Illustrated, the suspension will run for the rest of the 2013 MLB season, which will sideline Braun for 65 games. Braun may be the first of many players to face suspension after the fallout from Biogenesis, and next on the list may be injured Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez. A-Rod’s name was found in documents belonging to the disgraced Miami “anti-aging” clinic, which allegedly supplied steroids to multiple MLB players.
