Once again, the women of R&B Divas: L.A. kept it nice and surprisingly open on the second episode of the TV One franchise—surely disappointing those hoping to see somebody scrapping after their seventh glass of wine. Fret not, though, fighter-lovers, because based on the preview of next week’s episode, a rift is building. As for yesterday’s edition of the show, we got to see crab legs, tears, shrimp and sadness, plus divorce talk, abuse revelations and songs for Jesus. —Michael Arceneaux (@youngsinick)

1. Lil’ Mo Is Not Meant To Be A Stay-At-Home Mom

Los Angeles is to cheap living as the Luther burger is to healthy dining. Needless to say, while Lil’ Mo is thrilled to be in the land of La La, the expensive nannies, costly gas prices, and rent being too damn high reminds her that she best get on the hustle. However, as she explained to her husband, it’s harder now to pursue big ambitions when you have a litter of kids.

But I’ve got to give it to the loud, charismatic, colored-contact wearing singer: she wants it so, so bad and seems willing to work however as hard as she must to get it done. All I could do is think of Rihanna, who’s currently dealing with the reality of her fans throwing chips at her and screaming Beyoncé’s name at her shows because she shows up late as hell and often gives a half-assed performance.

I bet you if Lil’ Mo had that booking she’d show up 30 minutes early and sing three extra songs while sitting on the laps of the entire front row out of sheer gratitude.
